Kashi Vishwanath, It is a place where you feel absolutely connected to Lord Shiva who is believed to be the most significant deity in the Hindu religion. Immense crowds, continuous chanting of mantras and the synchronous ringing of bells make Kashi Vishwanath a sight to behold and a must-visit place for all the pilgrims in India and around the world. It is one of the 12 Jyotirlinga present all over the world.              One of the four gates to enter  We were not allowed to visit the temple with our phone or any other electronic devices. Kashi Vishwanath Temple's Aarti and Kashi Vishwanath Darshan are very popular amongst the Hindu devotees from all over India and major attractions for foreigners as well.It is said that the blessedness of this place gets heightened during the time of aarti and has the power to transform lives and put one in the path of knowledge and devotion.             ...

The Neelakuranjis.

It was like a dream come true when I reached Aluva Station in Kerela. My destination was still approx 120 km away. Heading towards the bus stand we got to know there which  may KSRTC (Karnataka state roads transport corporation) buses which goes to Munnar and for this I would like to thanks Karnataka government. It took nearly 4 hours to cover the distance to Munnar. It was a diffrent vibe I was getting there. There was a sweet smell mixed in the air which seemed to saying"yes you are in the heaven on Earth".                             Bus Stand- Munnar We were so excited to see the flowers Neelakuranjis and the tea garden covered in mist as it was the month of October, that means the best time to visit this place.  Kurinji  or  Neelakurinji , scientifically known as  Strobilanthus kunthianus,  is a shrub that grows once in twelve years and after 2006 it is the year the flowe...

A day at Chandrabhaga beach(Puri)

Image
When one gets completely bogged down with the frustrations of monotonous mundane life and desperately craves for escape from reality , nothing can be a better option than spending a few moments with Nature. Added to that if you stay nearer to sea you are definitely at an advantage. And if you happen to be in Odisha the obvious choice would be a day off at Puri beach. But if you could travel 30 kms from Puri northward you will come across Chandrabhaga beach which will offer you better and memorable moments. Puri beach stands just beside the busy marine drive and with it comes all the hustle and bustle. If your sole wish is to experience only Nature around , Chandrabhaga is ideal. The beach is withstood with a line of tall trees. Thus the view of greenery at your back and blue waters in front is nothing short of picturesque graphic. When you land at the beach the first difference with Puri beach that ignites your instincts is the pristine waters. Not only does it provide a capt...

Wayfaring at Assi ghat

Shant lehrein , aur ek Assi ki saam  Ganga ka Paani, or Banaras ka naam It's a waste if you come to Banaras and don't visit Assi ghat . The holy vibes in the air there will surely snatch your heart away. The silent waves of Ganga was seemed to be saying "come, sit here I'll give you the peace you will get ever". The blow of soft air and the sound of the waves seemed to be a perfect combination for a music composition. No doubt why Bismillah khan was so perfect with his instruments.  It was around 6.15 pm when I reached Assi and the air there was so satisfying that I couldn't stop myself wayfaring at the shore . Many of the peoples were leaving the lightened diyas in the river. It's their way to show the devotion towards Maa Ganga. I got to know with a priest there that after killing the two demons Shumbha-Nishumbha Maa Durga threw her sword which landed on the Earth and resulted in emergence of river Assi (originates from Newda , Va...
