Wayfaring at Assi ghat

Shant lehrein , aur ek Assi ki saam 
Ganga ka Paani, or Banaras ka naam
It's a waste if you come to Banaras and don't visit Assi ghat . The holy vibes in the air there will surely snatch your heart away. The silent waves of Ganga was seemed to be saying "come, sit here I'll give you the peace you will get ever". The blow of soft air and the sound of the waves seemed to be a perfect combination for a music composition. No doubt why Bismillah khan was so perfect with his instruments. 

It was around 6.15 pm when I reached Assi and the air there was so satisfying that I couldn't stop myself wayfaring at the shore . Many of the peoples were leaving the lightened diyas in the river. It's their way to show the devotion towards Maa Ganga. I got to know with a priest there that after killing the two demons Shumbha-Nishumbha Maa Durga threw her sword which landed on the Earth and resulted in emergence of river Assi (originates from Newda , Varansi). This Assi river flows throw all the city and get indulged in southern part of Varansi with Ganga and this meeting point of Ganga and Assi is named as Assi ghat. It's a strong belief of people that taking a dip in the river at Assi ghat is equivalent to tsking dip at thousands of other holy river.He told to visit me at the time of "Dev Deepawali" ,as it will be the best thing i'll see in my entire life.

It was going to turn 7'o clock in the evening when a huge crowd was gathering beside the Ganga river for Ganga Aarti. The light of all the 151 diyas was making the place so bright and the whole Assi was buring that holy fire . It was so relieving but soon the Arti ended and the locals started heading back to their homes.

After all this I sat there at the stairs with a cup of lemon tea I bought and was thinking of making my own house there which was ofcourse not possible but the peace i was getting there was forcing me to imagine those senerios. I wanted to seat there for the whole of the night but i had to get back to my room so that i can find more places like this next day. I tried Dahi puri there which was amazingly superb. Lastly I left that place with a wistful heart and decided to come here once again in my life.

The Neelakuranjis.

It was like a dream come true when I reached Aluva Station in Kerela. My destination was still approx 120 km away. Heading towards the bus stand we got to know there which  may KSRTC (Karnataka state roads transport corporation) buses which goes to Munnar and for this I would like to thanks Karnataka government. It took nearly 4 hours to cover the distance to Munnar. It was a diffrent vibe I was getting there.
