Kashi Vishwanath, It is a place where you feel absolutely connected to Lord Shiva who is believed to be the most significant deity in the Hindu religion. Immense crowds, continuous chanting of mantras and the synchronous ringing of bells make Kashi Vishwanath a sight to behold and a must-visit place for all the pilgrims in India and around the world. One of the four gates to enter
We were not allowed to visit the temple with our phone or any other electronic devices.
Kashi Vishwanath Temple's Aarti and Kashi Vishwanath Darshan are very popular amongst the Hindu devotees from all over India and major attractions for foreigners as well.It is said that the blessedness of this place gets heightened during the time of aarti and has the power to transform lives and put one in the path of knowledge and devotion.
Temple complex was very neat and clean. Awesome complex has small temples of KaalBhairav, Vishnu, Gauri and other Gods and Goddesses. Three domes of temples were made of pure gold(now its two). It is a misfortune that we were not alive when it was in full glory.
It was pulled down three times and they built it back three times, in whichever way possible. This may be the reason to remake the new Vishwanath temple in Banaras Hindu university campus(BHU). Many other worth visit temples and sides are there in the surroundings of Kashi Vishwanath Worth mention in the GyanVapi well. This is situated inside the temple complex. It is believed that inside this well the pious Shivlingam was hidden so that it may not fall in the hands of the Muslim tyrant ruler Aurangzeb. Presently the holy water of this well is offered to the devotees as drinks Prasad.
