The Neelakuranjis.

It was like a dream come true when I reached Aluva Station in Kerela. My destination was still approx 120 km away. Heading towards the bus stand we got to know there which  may KSRTC(Karnataka state roads transport corporation) buses which goes to Munnar and for this I would like to thanks Karnataka government. It took nearly 4 hours to cover the distance to Munnar. It was a diffrent vibe I was getting there. There was a sweet smell mixed in the air which seemed to saying"yes you are in the heaven on Earth".
                           Bus Stand- Munnar

We were so excited to see the flowers Neelakuranjis and the tea garden covered in mist as it was the month of October, that means the best time to visit this place. Kurinji or Neelakurinji, scientifically known as Strobilanthus kunthianus, is a shrub that grows once in twelve years and after 2006 it is the year the flower has bloomed in 2018. I am very lucky that I was able to saw this once in my life.

Kurinji used to once grow abundantly in the Nilgiri Hills (part of the Western Ghats) in Tamil Nadu. The brilliant blue colour of Kurinji has given the hills the name “Nilgiri”, literally meaning “Blue Mountains”. But presently, plantations and buildings have occupied the hills.
               Neelakuranjis on Nilgiri hills.

Then we moved to Eravikulam National Park to see the entire view of blooming of Neelakuranjis with my own blessed eyes.
The moment I reached there it felt like i was in heaven. Literally i can't tell you in my words what peace of my eyes were getting by seeing that senerio. The only thing i wanted to do is stare them for my entire life . The view was really so eye catchy that my eyelid were not ready to blink.
You must see how patiently people wait for hours in serpentine queues to have a glimpse of what they would treasure for a lifetime.
Man, you’d hurt yourself for a want of word, a want of emotion, a want of expression to live up to the bounty nature offers you!
